In February, my sister, Michelle and my niece, Samantha, were able to visit us for a few days. We had a great time doing things with the kids and visiting the usual SoCal tourist attractions (Disneyland, Hollywood, LA Zoo). Alex and Samantha had a great time playing together--makes me wish we lived much closer!

We somehow ended up in Hollywood the day before the Oscars--it was a zoo, and most of Hollywood Blvd in front of the Kodak Theater was blocked off.
If you watched the Oscars, you would have noticed that none of the plastic tents were there during the red carpet walk. Interesting that they cover it all beforehand.
