Flashback Friday

When you have a second child, you can't help but think back to when your first was the same age. Alex started walking right around 13 1/2 months, and was running soon after. This was also right around the time that Erik deployed to Iraq. It is so interesting to look back and realize how much my boys look alike at this age, despite the difference in hair and eye color because I don't see it when I look at them now! These two pictures were taken in the hall right outside Alex's room. I was trying to get him to go in his room to get ready for bed, and he kept running away and laughing at me. This was a nightly occurence... Alex and I went on a ski trip with my office in January 2006. He and I didn't get to ski much, but we had a great time sledding and playing in the snow. The pink boots are borrowed from friends. He didn't care. :-) At this age, Alex was such a poser for the camera--it was always easy to get a smile out of him! Now we're lucky if we can get him to look at the camera...
