Toddler talk

Well, I guess Alex isn't technically a "toddler" anymore now that he's three, but I still love the words that little kids come up with as they learn English. I figured I had better capture some of them now before he starts saying them correctly and I forget them! Some of my favorites: Snow grub = snow globe fireplace = pacifier (I have no idea where this one came from) Maffew = Matthew Old McDonald's = McDonald's psketti = spaghetti pewter = computer Bobo = his special blanket (at one time, all blankets were "bobo" to him--this one stuck) Pajamad = pajamas bagoose = caboose It's amazing sometimes to think about what goes on in the mind of a little one. Alex will frequently tell me something and follow it with, "That's how that works, Mommy." He also loves to argue with us about EVERYTHING (he's three)--A common refrain is, "NO Mommy, this way!" A few months ago, he was getting in the habit of saying "yah" all the time instead of yes, so we taught him, "Yah is yucky, yes is good". Now he corrects everyone. :-) And my all time favorite, saved for last. Red Sox roo, Ankees poop! (Red Sox rule, Yankees poop). Guess you can tell where my loyalties lie.
